Born in Genoa to Sardinian immigrant parents, Milena Agus spent her childhood between Genoa and Milan. At the age of ten, she moved to Sardinia with her family. Since then, she has been living in Cagliari, where she studied, graduated and worked as a literature teacher in secondary schools. She has written eight novels (including Mal di pietre (Stone Ache), which brought her to the attention of the general public, has been translated into many languages and was made into a film in France), all published by Nottetempo.
