Myriam Mereu obtained her PhD in Philological and Literary Studies at the University of Cagliari with a thesis on language in new Sardinian cinema. Since February 2023, she has been a research fellow for the Cagliari unit of the national “ATLas – Atlas of Local Television in Italy” project (PRIN 2020). Her research interests range from linguistics in film to voice and orality studies, from local television to television series, with a particular focus on the narrative practices of teen dramas. She is the author and presenter of a radio programme (Seriedda on Radio Rai Sardegna), and the column “RTS Novas”, both in the Sardinian language.
