Donatella Di Pietrantonio
Donatella Di Pietrantonio is an Italian author. She graduated in dentistry from the University of L’Aquila and practiced as a pediatric dentist. She later devoted herself to writing, debuting with the novel Mia madre è un fiume (My Mother Is a River, Elliot, 2011, Tropea Prize). For Einaudi, she published L’Arminuta (2017), winner of the 2017 Campiello Prize, and Bella mia, for which she entered the 2014 Strega Prize and won the Brancati Prize and the Vittoriano Esposito Città di Celano Prize. Also published by Einaudi in 2020 were Borgo Sud and in 2023 L’età fragile, winner of the 2024 Strega Prize and the 2024 Strega Youth Prize.
