Long-time special correspondent for the daily La Repubblica newspaper, Giampaolo Cadalanu has covered crises and conflicts around the world for over thirty years, from the Middle East to the Balkans, from Sudan to Afghanistan, from Libya to Ukraine, from Sri Lanka to Lebanon. As a defence correspondent, he has followed Italian soldiers on various missions abroad. He has been awarded the FAO’s Boerma Prize and the Archivio Disarmo’s Colomba d’oro, among other prizes.
