Nicola Merche

Nicola Merche holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Cagliari, specializing in economics. After graduation, he conducted research in territorial economic development before pursuing a career in public administration.

He further specialized his education by successfully completing the MEPE Master’s program in European planning for sustainable territorial development at the University of Tor Vergata in Rome.

He has long been active in the linguistic movement, focusing on the enhancement and promotion of the Sardinian language, furthering his studies at the University of Cagliari with the FILS course for teacher training and the FOLS course for training Sardinian language professionals.

He works for the Municipality of Carbonia, where he is responsible for the youth policy office and the Eurodesk center, as well as the “InSardu” language service. He is also responsible for various European projects related to regional economic and tourism development.
