Anyone can destroy a tree, but few have the heart, dedication, and intelligence to protect them and help them grow. Sunday, November 30, 2025, 4:30 PM, Casa Saddi.
It’s a show that moves between the symbolic and the real, evoking the fragility of our planet and the resilience of nature, a vision of a world capable of immersing the audience in the once-devastated Dark Age, only to then open to the hope of a new Green Age, through the protagonists’ gestures and discoveries. Visual, audio, and corporeal narration are the beating heart of the show, where every element (objects, sounds, lights) contributes to telling a universal story of rebirth. The audience will feel involved in the search for Iris and Giada, the story’s protagonists, recognizing in their mission a metaphor for the relationship with nature and the need to protect it. Alternating moments of lightness and depth, each scene evokes a moving painting, where light, shadow, and color interact with sounds and text. Shadow theater will also provide evocative moments, expanding the narrative space. The use of hopeful elements (the seed, the bee, the song of nature) and props (stones, umbrellas, the cart, and the trunk) are extensions of the characters, used to build the world and tell the story. The show’s goal is to create a shared theatrical experience between generations, uniting grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, parents, and children in a moment of connection and discovery. The language is simple and clear, almost whispering in our ear that we too are nature. The words and objects on stage lead us, through an intimate and poetic journey, to reflect on our relationship with nature and the importance of slowing down and appreciating life’s simple moments. Anyone can destroy a tree, but few have the heart, dedication, and intelligence to protect them and help them grow.
